The Practice
Structura is an award-winning, design-orientated practice operating in the domains of architecture, landscape, urbanity, people and the environment. Warren Haasnoot and Greg Lee established Structura in 2017 with the ambition to create crafted and meaningful pieces of architecture in a regional context.
Our name comes from the idea that curiosity is fundamental to the creation of architecture. It marks a desire to be inquisitive, interested and eager.
Philosophy
Those spaces we form from curiosity are inherently intriguing, functional and nuanced in the way they are experienced. Every project is influenced by the people's lives it touches, an understanding of place, and a respect for the past, present and future.
We work closely with clients to ensure each building is uniquely tailored to their lifestyle, site context, and environment.
Approach
Our methodology begins with deep contextual inquiry. We examine the environment, light, typography, and human movement to shape spaces that feel grounded in their place.
Through careful material selection and rigorous detail design, we balance spatial simplicity with tactile richness to elevate daily routines into meaningful experiences.
